The Sessional Program caters for children intending to follow onto Prep/Foundation in mainstream primary education.

At Donvale Montessori, the classroom, or Prepared Environment is designed to meet both the physical and psychological needs of the child at each stage of development.  The curriculum is generally much wider than a mainstream kinder curriculum, with the introduction to concepts such as mathematics and reading skills.  The Montessori method allows each child to succeed in his or her own time, reinforcing their self confidence.

Our experience has seen children from Donvale Montessori flourish when they enter primary school, having a concrete understanding of concepts usually learned in traditional schools at an older age.    

The program runs for 2 years for children aged 3-5 years old.

Our Centre runs two classes and can accommodate up to 27 children per class. We have an educator to child ratio of 1:11. Each session has a Montessori qualified Directress, an Early Childhood teacher as well as an additional Educator where needed.
